Lesley Stuart
Legal Director
Qualified: 1985
What is your role and area of expertise?
I am a solicitor currently working within the Wills and Probate Team; having previously been part of the Utilities Team and prior to that, I led the Residential Conveyancing department. My day-to-day work now includes drafting Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Deeds of Revocation, and Deeds of Severance, checking property titles, as well as assisting with the administration of estates. I focus on supporting my expert colleagues and developing strong client relationships — a part of the role I find particularly rewarding.
How do you approach working with clients?
I ensure every client receives my full attention and feels prioritised, offering dedicated support throughout. I believe in getting to know clients, building trust and helping them with their immediate needs and plans for the future so that they can relax and feel reassured that they are in good hands. I have seen the business through many changes and I am inspired by my new role and the new management team. I am pleased to see their aspirations for the business and their focus on putting client care at it’s centre.
What’s a standout achievement in your career?
I have been a solicitor with the firm since 1985 and have seen it through many changes. I bring a wealth of experience gained across several departments and I feel my standout achievement has been adaptability.
How do you incorporate Cullimore Dutton’s values?
I uphold these values by delivering high quality legal and support work and providing exceptional service with empathy and respect. I also collaborate with the Charity and Social team to support our partner charities, fostering a sense of community and giving back.
What do you enjoy outside of work?
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with friends and family, Book Club, TV food shows, weekends away, eating out, music, theatre, film, art, and comedy. I also enjoy supporting local charities and Storyhouse.
